Eager shoppers browsed the downtown streets full of food, clothing, and other items like books and hand-made jewelry.
Many merchants and local vendors say events like today's, are extremely important for business.
"It's important for me to be here because I don't have a shop and this is a way I can make some sales, get out and let the people see what I have so things like this is very important to me and other vendors," said local vendor Sandra Nichols.
Local shop owners and community members say the event is a great way to display what downtown Bainbridge has to offer.
Saturday was the town's first Downtown Market Day.
The event will be held on the first Saturday of every month for the rest of the summer.
