Man Charged With Murdering Parents Denied Bond

WOODBINE, Ga. (AP) _ A 22-year-old man accused of murdering his
parents in Camden County has been denied bond by a Magistrate Court
judge.

Tye Christopher Watkins appeared briefly yesterday before Magistrate Court Judge Harvey L. Fry, who ordered that he remain jailed.

The sheriff's office says Watkins called 911 Monday and told the
dispatcher he had killed his parents. Deputies arrested him outside their home in Mush Bluff, an affluent waterfront neighborhood near the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

Inside the house, investigators found 47-year-old Thomas Jefferson "T.J.'' Watkins and 44-year-old Cindy Trott Watkins dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Court clerk Alison Crews said Watkins did not have an attorney at his court appearance.
