Georgia State Representative Amy Carter has officially announced she will run for re-election this coming November. Carter represents Lowndes County, primarily the city of Valdosta.
Carter says she wants to continue working as an advocate for children. She says she's helped improve public schools in Georgia, and she's not done yet.
"My main focus in this upcoming campaign, of course, is education, as a teacher at Lowndes High School, my passion is with the kids of course. Some other issues I'd like to address would be taxes, trauma care, various other issues that affect our state," says Rep. Carter.
Carter was born and raised in Valdosta and says she wants to continue to serve the citizens of her hometown.
