The tornado watch that was set to end at 2 pm has been allowed to expire.
Widely scattered showers are still moving through South Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. The risk for severe weather appears to be shifting well east of the WSWG-WCTV viewing areas.
The tornado watch that was set to expire at 1 pm Sunday will now expire at 2 pm for parts of South Georgia.
The watch includes the following Georgia counties in the WSWG-WCTV viewing area: Atkinson, Clinch, Coffee, and Echols.
The tornado watch has been discontinued or allowed to expire elsewhere.
Within the watch, severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes are possible. The greatest risk for severe weather is shifting east into southeastern Georgia, but thunderstorms moving across the above-listed counties could briefly become severe through 2 pm.
