On-Line Crime Fighters

(CBS/AP)

Residents can help fight crime in the community through a new tool by the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
Anyone can go to LCSO's web site to read a synopsis of unsolved crimes, view evidence, and anonymously submit information to Crime Stoppers or directly to the detective assigned to the case.
Some of the crimes that are posted are cold case homicides, robberies, missing persons and bank frauds.
Tallahassee resident Walter Delaney said, "I think it would be a good idea because the more information you have, the better off you might catch somebody. Whereas, if nobody knows anything that's going on, it's just another incident."
Just like the hotline, you can remain anonymous on the Crime Stoppers web tip link and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
