Search Continues for Missing Georgia Teen

BUCHANAN, Ga. (AP) Authorities will resume the search Friday for a 17-year-old girl missing since she went for a walk Wednesday night near Buchanan in northwest Georgia.

Crews have been searching a 5-mile radius in Haralson County for Brittany Carrigg.

The volleyball player will be a high school senior next year.

Haralson County Fire Department Chief Bryan Walker is urging crews to search all areas, including wells and out buildings.

Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Beck says authorities used a helicopter in the search until rain began falling Thursday.

Authorities have talked with Carrigg's boyfriend and say he is cooperating.

They have set up a command post at Union Hill Church in Bremen.
