Organizers say local veterans will fly to Washington D.C. on to visit the World War Two memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
Organizers say more than 100 veterans initially registered for the flight, but some had to withdraw because of their health.
This is expected to be the third and final Honor Flight of South Georgia.
"These veterans have waited 63 years to see the memorial that was built in honor of their service and sacrifice," says coordinator Buddy Johnson.
Johnson says this flight will be the best one yet. By now, he says, all the kinks are worked out and the trip should be a smooth one.
