Manning Gets Life in Prison

A Taylor County woman charged with kidnapping and attempted murder will spend the rest of her days behind bars.
25-year-old Alexis Manning is sentenced to life in prison on attempted first degree murder and armed robbery charges.
Perry Police say on October 12th, Manning and 18-year-old Maurice Flowers forced 40-year-old Tonya Lafuente at knife-point to leave while she was on break at Wal-Mart and have her withdraw money from an ATM.
They then took her to a wooded area and stabbed her about 20 times.
Lafuente survived.
Manning will serve life consecutively with a second life sentence for violating probation.
She is never eligible for parole.
