A five-month drug investigation ends in the arrest of eighteen suspects and four more being sought.
Perry Police say the roundup started Friday when 14 people were arrested on various cocaine and marijuana charges.
Throughout the weekend, four more people were busted in relation to the investigation.
Police say the drug arrests were made in the areas of Woodard, Dunwood and Cherry Streets and Warner Avenue.
CAPT Jamie Cruse with the Perry Police Department said, "We found out about most of these individuals through sources that we have on the street or through people in the community that were tired of this happening in their neighborhood and solve this activity and called us. We were able to assist that community through this investigation."
Police are looking for four more suspects in relation to this
investigation: LaChadwick McBride, Louis Gaddy, Ricardo Cook, and Jimmy Welch.
In addition to State and local charges levied against the 22previously mentioned individuals, the investigation has led to three individuals being indicted Federally for Narcotics sales.
The following agencies assisted in the arrest operation Friday: Perry Police Department, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Florida Department of Corrections and State Fire Marshall’s Office.
