VSU"s Lamb Named Second Team All-America

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Valdosta State senior Justin Lamb was named to the Daktronics All-America second team Tuesday in a vote of the NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors.

Lamb tallied a 1.84 earned run average while compiling a 4-2 record on the season. The senior also registered 11 saves while appearing in a VSU single season-record 32 contests. He struck out 68 batters, while walking just 14, in 58.2 innings of work and held opponents to a .233 batting average.

Lamb owned a 10.43 strikeouts-per-nine innings mark during the year, during which he appeared in 58.2 percent of Valdosta State’s 55 games.
