A group of local young girls got the chance to take a trip back in time at the Lapham Patterson House Museum in Thomasville.

The girls got a hands on opportunity to learn what the Victorian Era was really like.

The event, which used to be all week long, has now been condensed into one fun-filled day.

The ladies took part in arts and crafts from the Victorian era, like
making hand-made soap and creating their own flower arrangements.

"Take all the gadgets and the battery powered gadgets away from the kids and it's amazing their imagination and what they can come up with and they're really surprised that they're able to do so much with their hands and these old games are actually fun," said Cheryl Walters, curator.

The girls also played classic Victorian Parlor games and got the chance to tour the beautiful Victorian home.
