Thomasville hosts day two of Hoopfest

MacIntyre Park Middle School played host once again in day two of the Kessselers Sports Holiday Hoopfest.
Six more games are on the schedule Saturday as teams try and advance to Monday night's Championship game. Teams have come from as close as Thomas County Central to as far away as Mobile, Alabama, all with the same purpose: face some quality opponents that will better prepare them for the rest of the season.
Thomasville boys basketball coach Benjamin Tillman said, "We have good competition. Last year, three of our teams that played in our tournament also made it to the state playoffs, which is a testament to our tournament."
Three games have already gone final Saturday as of 6:00pm. On the girls side, Thomas County Central knocked off Mitchell County 42-37. Terrell County defeated Glynn Academy 58-52.
On the boys side, Pelham defeated Baker County from Alabama, 80-63. Both Thomasville games are still on the way later Saturday night.
