Big Bend Residents Get Free Tax Help

Tax time is here and some volunteers are reaching out to help folks prepare their forms - for free.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program is offering big bend residents free tax-preparation and filing services.

All volunteers are IRS trained and there are over 10 sites around town.

Volunteers say about 20 to 30 people came in today to file their taxes, but they're expecting a bigger rush next weekend when more people have received their W-2 forms.
