Lowndes County, GA - According to Sheriff Chris Prine, [with the Lowndes Conuty Sheriff's Office] on Thursday evening shortly before midnight investigators from the Special Operations Division noticed a vehicle sitting in a parking lot in the 1900 block of West Hill Avenue.

The investigators stopped and spoke with the vehicle occupants who were identified as Jory Corbitt and Paige Brunner, both of whom are from Labelle, Florida. A consensual search of the vehicle occupied by the pair resulted in the recovery of a methamphetamine pipe, methamphetamine, and several items that are used to manufacture methamphetamine. Investigation by investigators indicated that the pair had been traveling on Interstate 75 and stopped in an attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.

Both Corbitt and Brunner were arrested and transported to the Lowndes County Jail where they remain. They will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court this afternoon where a bond will be considered.
