Country Music Stars 'The Band Perry' Play in Valdosta

-- Valdosta, Ga. -- May 26, 2012 --

Roller Coasters, tigers, and veterans. this Memorial Day weekend concert had it all.

People from all over came out to see The Band Perry perform at Wild Adventures theme park in Valdosta. Families of all ages came together... the day was full of fun but not without fear.

5-year old Hannah Smock said "I was a little scared of all the rides but than I went on them... and I wasn't scared anymore!"

Hannah's dad has served three tours in Iraq for the Air Force. He is set to go to Afghanistan this year. Although everyone was having a good time, the sincerity of this weekend's holiday was genuine.

Vietnam veteran Berney Hand said "Memorial Day is for the ones that didn't make it back. The the ones of us that did come back, the one's that didn't make it back they gave the ultimate sacrifice."
