Colquitt County, Georgia - July 3, 2012 -

A Norman Park man was killed in an overnight accident in our area.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. this morning on Fred Webb Road, just south of Lower Meigs Road in Colquitt County.

The Georgia State Patrol says 25-year-old Leo Hopper was driving a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder when he ran a stop sign and then failed to stay in his lane.

Troopers say Hopper then overcorrected, hit a mailbox and then a culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn.

He was pronounced dead on scene.
