-- Brooks County, Ga. -- November 3, 2012 --
Brooks County High School's basketball court set the stage for an epic battle between the Harlem Legends and the Brooks County All Stars.
Lamar Thomas is a member of the Brooks County All Stars. When asked if he could predict the game he said "we haven't lost a game yet and they haven't lost a game yet so it should be pretty good. If they don't cheat we'll win!"
The All Stars were made up of coaches, teachers and even the fire chief. The goal of the game was to raise money for the basketball program at Brooks High... The Legends are made up of former NBA players and harlem globetrotters.. they're no strangers when it comes to putting on a show.
Harlem Legend Tyrone Brown said "my teammates and I have gathered together and we've raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for different organizations around the country"
Another Harlem Legend Michael Douglas said "you know most people's professional careers end when they're right at their early thirties. This keeps us going well into our fifties and sixties and there's no limit on age of allowing us to do this."
In the end the Harlem Legends finished the game on top... but it was a win for the whole community.
The Harlem Legends will preform next in Rockdale County, Georgia on November fifth.
