-- Valdosta, Ga. -- November 15, 2012 --
Bad attitudes and a blade belonged to two women who robbed an out of towner on Wednesday night.
Lieutenant Aaron Kirk of the Valdosta Police Department said "you can replace a wallet, you can replace credit cards but you can't replace a life."
The man, Harlin Hyde from North Carolina, was staying at the Motel Six on West Hill Avenue. After grabbing some food around 10:30PM he was walking back to his room. The women approached him pulling a knife just like this one. That's when they took his wallet, stole his cash and credit cards then fled on foot according to the police report.
Valdosta resident John Timmers said "I would feel obviously harrassed. I would feel in danger of my life. And I would certainly feel violated if that were to happen to me."
Another Valdosta resident Jimmy Stracener said "two women robbing somebody, I wouldn't think that would be normal but maybe today that's possible."
The victim didn't put up a fight which the cops say is the right decision.
Lieutenant Kirk went on to say "we would prefer you listen to the person, try and get a good description of them. Try and remember anything about them that you can so you can give that description to the police and then call the police as soon as possible."
At last check police have no leads and no arrests have been made. If you have any information on this crime call the Valdosta Police Department. All calls can remain anonymous.
