Plane to be Moved on Georgia Highway, Prompting Closures

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (AP) -- Military officials say parts of Georgia State Route 247 in central Georgia will be temporarily closed as a C-130 airplane is moved.

WMAZ-TV reports that the highway closures are planned for Thursday in the Warner Robins area.

Robins Air Force Base officials said in a statement that the airplane will be moved from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

They say its journey will begin at the base's Aero Club Gate and the plane will then travel south to the Museum of Aviation. It will then re-enter Robins through a separate gate behind the museum and continue to Warrior Air Base, where the aircraft will be used for training purposes.
