Valdosta, GA - There was no shortage of places in downtown Valdosta to drink champagne and count down to midnight for New Years Eve.

In fact, most of them seemed to be on Patterson Street. The Bas Bleu Brasserie had the ceiling lined with balloons ready to drop when the clock struck midnight. They also had free party favors, a DJ and a dance floor. And it was all free of cover charge.

The party got started early over at Steel Magnolias restaurant across the street. They had live music and a scenic balcony over looking the city below.

At Glo Ultralounge, patrons could pay a cover to dance the night away at the Atlanta style night club. They even have local celebrity DJs like "Big Nick" and "Big Twin".

So however people decided to ring in the New Year in Valdosta, they were sure to have a good time downtown.
