Quitman Man Hospitalized After Violent Home Invasion

A Quitman, Georgia man is recovering in a hospital after a violent home invasion.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says a lone robber broke into his home early Monday morning. The robber was there and surprised Joe Johnson when he walked in.

Police say, 19-year-old Toddtavious Manning beat Johnson. Johnson was taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.

The investigation is on-going. Manning is charged with Aggravated Battery but the Sheriff's Department says more charges may be forthcoming. He has not yet been arraigned as of Tuesday.
