Moultrie, GA - The incident happened Wednesday night at the China Cafe in Moultrie.

Investigators say two male employees were taking the trash out back when they were ambushed by a man with a gun.

Surveillance video shows the gunman bringing the men back inside. That's when two female employees realized what was going on.

"When they saw him coming into the doorway of that counter area, they climbed out the drive-through window and then the driver of the car also got out and followed them," said Investigator Dave Underwood with the Moultrie Police Department.

Once the women climbed through the drive-through window, they ran next door to Anytime Fitness to call police. That's when two gym employees spotted the suspect and began to chase after him on foot.

"We saw the guy behind the building and we pursued him and tried to chase him down," said David Jenkins, the Manager of Anytime Fitness. "We made it to the back of the building over there, next to the karate facility where he had entered the woods."

The suspect is still on the run and investigators are asking for the community's help in finding him.

"If they notice anything how he's built, how he carries himself, his gait, how he walks, it might alert them to somebody," said Underwood,

Investigators say even though the suspect didn't make off with any money, he will face armed robbery charges.
