Our soldiers are pretty tough, but coming back into the civilian world after serving in the military can still be one of the hardest challenges they face.

Tuesday veterans in Valdosta were in introduced to a wide variety of services to help them through. This was called the "Veterans Education and Benefits Fair".

It was held at the Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. Vets received support with education, training and information on employment options. They even got help with issues such as homelessness and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

"We have a lot of veterans who get out of the military who are finding it very difficult to find their niche in society and the community. A lot of times the skills and the jobs they had in the military don't translate well into what jobs are in the local community in the civilian world," said Tim Oliver, organizer of Valdosta Veterans First.

This was the first time for the event.
