Alpharetta, Georgia. (AP) --
A Barbados resident whose daughter is
being treated for a rare form of cancer at an Atlanta-area hospital
has been told she will have to leave the country.
Petrah Gooding brought her 7-year-old daughter, Niamh Stoute, to
Atlanta in November. Niamh suffers from neuroblastoma and is
receiving treatment at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta's Aflac
Cancer center in Alpharetta.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement extended Niamh's
nine-month visitor's visa so she can continue treatment. But
Gooding's visa expires Thursday.
ICE declined to discuss the case, but spokeswoman Ana Santiago
says the agency is looking into it.
