A deadly crash kills one and puts eight others in the hospital.
The Georgia State Patrol tells us three cars crashed into each other on highway 133 in Brooks County yesterday afternoon.
The woman killed was Pensacola resident Raychelle Gaston.
Morven resident, Erving Rogers, is charged with first degree vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of prescription drugs.
The accident started when the first car was trying to turn into the "Oak Ridge Lodge" driveway.
"That vehicle rear-ended the vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn," said Edward Shiver, a trooper with the Georgia State Patrol.
“It forced the vehicle to cross into the southbound lane where the other vehicle traveling southbound struck that vehicle on the rear side killing the right rear occupant,” said Shiver
Rogers is recovering from his injuries at the South Georgia Medical Center.
He will be formally charged once he's released.
