PRESS RELEASE

THOMASVILLE, GA – November 4, 2010 – Country Oaks Golf Course is changing its operating hours. Beginning on November 8, 2010 Country Oaks Golf Course will be closed on Mondays. COGC will still operate under normal business hours each week, Tuesday through Sunday.

In effort to provide the best service possible, Mondays will now be utilized for greens-keeping efforts and maintenance to the course’s facilities. Billy Fuller, former golf course superintendent of the Augusta National Golf Club, was brought in as an expert consultant. After Mr. Fuller conducted a thorough analysis, Country Oaks staff considered his findings and concluded that both the course and most importantly its customers would greatly benefit from increased course maintenance time.

“We are always striving to find ways in which we can offer the best service and experience to our customers”, said PGA Professional Mike Owens. “With an entire day each week reserved for maintenance on the course, we hope to be able to give our players the best possible playing conditions.”

Country Oaks is located just 4 miles from historic Thomasville, Georgia on Highway 122 (Pavo Road). The course is owned and operated by the City of Thomasville for the pleasure of residents and visitors alike.
