A little bit of honey isn't just something sweet.
New research suggests it may just help curb your appetite.
New research shows honey seems to have a positive effect on appetite hormones.
In a study young women ate a 450 calorie breakfast made with either honey or sugar.
Researchers then measured their appetite hormones and found those who'd eaten the food prepared with honey had lower levels of the hormone that makes us feel hungry.
The women also reported feeling more satisfied.
Any sweetener will add calories to your diet, but if you need to add sweetener to your coffee or tea honey may be a better choice than regular table.
Just remember to use it sparingly.
