In today's health matters, five transplant patients in Taiwan are undergoing preventive treatments after being given organs from an HIV positive donor.
The organs came from a 23-year-old man who fell to his death on August 24th, according to the China post.
A sample of his blood was sent to the National Taiwan Hospital headquarters in Taipei where it was confirmed HIV positive.
Those results were misinterpreted by medical staff before the transplants took place.
The vice-superintendent of the National Taiwan University Hospital offered his apologies to the family.
The donor's family says they were unaware he was infected with the disease.
