In today's Health Matters, Doctors are now changing their recommendation for who should receive regular HIV testing.

The American Academy of Pediatrics is now urging all teens between the ages of 16 and 18 to get regular, routine tests. That's if they live in an area where more than a one in a thousand people have the sexually transmitted infection.

The AAP also advises teens of any age who are tested for other STD's to also be tested for HIV.

Doctors say half of the HIV-infected teens don't know they are infected with the virus.

Previously, guidelines recommended testing only for teens who admitted to being sexually active.
