A new study is showing the impact of playing violent video games.
Researchers from the University of Missouri had 70 young adults play a violent or non-violent game for about half an hour.
Afterward, they showed the participants a violent and non-violent photograph.
Those who played the violent games had a reduced response to the violent photo.
Other studies have shown a link between playing games and desensitization and aggression, but this is the first to show cause and effect.
