In today's health matters, the older the teenager gets, the wiser they become.
That's according to a study done by the University of Texas. Researchers there looks at 7,000 teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17.
The group participated in math, vocabulary and problem solving activities to measure their intelligence and mental speed. And, results showed older teens worked quicker and scored higher than the younger kids in the group.
Researchers believe that the brain works faster as teens age and that causes them to obtain more knowledge.
The study was published in "Psychological Science."
