FSU's Big Man: Solomon Alabi

By  |

At seven foot one he is an intimidating factor in the Atlantic Coast Conference. His name, Solomon Alabi. After a standout freshman year where lead the ACC in blocked shots he is already receiving preseason honors and looking forward to his sophomore year.
FSU Sophomore Guard Solomon Alabi says,
" I think I've grown a lot. I've grown as a basketball player and as a person. Knowing that I get to play I want to take advantage of every minute I get to play. I'm just going to go hard when I get to play."
After sitting out his first season with Florida State due to a broken leg, Solomon emerged as a dominate threat in the paint. He lead the team in rebound and blocked shots per game, as well as second in points behind Toney Douglas. The scary thing though, he has not reached his potential.
FSU Men's Head Basketball Coach Leonard Hamilton adds,
"He still is a guy who had a good freshman year last year and we're looking for him to step up as a sophomore and continue to improve."
If Solomon continues to improve the way he did last season, his name won't only be recognized throughout the ACC, but the nation.
