It was in celebration of the Great American Smokeout.

At Landis Green, organizers promoted the school's 'breathe easy zones' where students cannot light a cigarette.

Folks played games and learned of the dangers of cigarette smoke, but the event is not meant to crack down on smokers.

Boris Damianov with FSU's Breathe Easy Initiative says, "The Breathe Easy zones are designed to have just non-smoking areas but if you do smoke, we also have zones for smoking. We want to educate the smokers to want to stop themselves."

FSU's Breathe Easy zones were created out of respect for those with asthma, emphysema and allergies to cigarette smoke.
