In today's Health Matters, If your kid has asthma, you may want to listen up.

A new analysis by the Food and Drug Administration shows some of the drugs used to treat the condition can actually be dangerous to your child.
The FDA found kids using only inhalers with Long-Acting Beta-Agonists or LABA's had higher rates of serious asthma attacks.

But, if they used the inhalers in combination with an asthma controller drug, their risk went down.

The FDA says the LABA's only help control airway spasms during an asthma attack.

They don't treat the inflammation that blocks the airways. That's where the other drug comes in.
