Ingredients:
1/2 lb ham or bacon - but in small squares
3/4 cup shredded cheese (I use cheddar)
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
2 egg yolks
salt & pepper
9 inch pastry pie shell or tart shell

Directions:
Cook the bacon or ham (you can also use other meats to substitute but the original Quiche Lorraine uses bacon), and drain off any excess grease on a paper towel if you're using bacon. Put the bacon or ham in the pie or tart shell. If you buy your shell, it should be fairly well defrosted. Sprinkle in the shredded cheese and set the shell over to the side on a baking sheet.
Then mix together the whipping cream, milk, eggs, egg yolks and some salt and pepper to taste. When that's mixed well, pour it over the bacon/ham and cheese in the pie shell. Then place the pie (on the backing sheet) in the oven at 400 degrees for about 35 to 40 minutes or until the middle is set and golden brown. You can serve this warm or room temperature. Enjoy!
