Tallahassee Police investigating reported kidnapping at Tom Brown Park

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a reported kidnapping that occurred around 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Tom Brown Park.
TPD says they received a call from a citizen who told officials that they heard what they believed to be a young, male child screaming. According to TPD, the citizen called out to the child, asking if he needed help, and the child responded by saying he was being kidnapped.
Officials say that is when the citizen called police.
Authorities say the arriving officers formed search parties and searched the surrounding foot trails, bike trails and neighborhoods.
TPD says officers are continuing their search of the area on foot with K9 units, on bicycles and from the air with the assistance of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit.
Officials say because the person who reported it only heard a voice, no description of either the child or the person they are looking for is available.
TPD is asking anyone who visited Tom Brown Park around this time or who has any information about this incident is asked to call the Consolidated Dispatch Agency at 850-606-5800.
