TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Tallahassee Police Department says it has made an arrest in connection to the deadly shooting at the Westgate Community from Oct. 2020.

On Oct. 2, 2020, TPD officers and Leon County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 3200 block of Westgate Court after receiving calls about the shooting a little before 8 a.m. The shooting had two victims, one of whom was found dead at the scene.

TPD says it arrested 41-year-old Robert Bruce Green Jr. after a thorough investigation. The United States Marshals’ Task Force helped TPD’s Career Criminal Unit make the arrest on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021.

Green faces charges of homicide, attempted homicide and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Initial information police received that day indicated the shooter was still inside the building, leading to a heavy police presence in the area. After officers cleared and secured the area, they started to do a sweep and document the scene, the city says.
