TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Bond Community Health Center held a drive thru COVID-19 testing site at James Messer Park Thursday.

officials wold WCTV that turnout was small as they only tested about 20 people.

They say it might be attributed to more people just wanting to get vaccinated.

“A lot of people’s effort and energy are more so focused on getting the vaccine itself and try to administer that in a controlled way. but there is still a need and there is still a risk, so because of that we are still going to do our part and try to fulfill that need,” Bond’s Mobile Health Services Administrator, Keenan Jenkins, said.

Bond is encouraging people to get tested every other week.

another free drive-thru testing site is scheduled for this Sunday at the Northeast Branch Library.
