TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Justice Joseph Woodrow Hatchett will lie in state at the Florida Supreme Court on Friday, May 7.

Hatchett, who was the first Black Supreme Court Justice in Florida, died at the age of 88 on April 30. Friday’s ceremony will go from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 500 S. Duval St.

Funeral services for Hatchett are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 224 N. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. His burial service is set for 2 p.m. Monday, at Brewer & Sons in Dunedin, Florida.
