School bus rear-ended on I-10 in Jefferson County, driver of car hurt

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - A school bus was rear-ended on I-10 in Jefferson County Sunday morning, and the driver of the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 8 a.m. near mile marker 217 on I-10 West, the press release says.

Troopers say an 18-year-old man from Orange Park drove the car that hit the bus, and the car spun out and hit a tree. The bus was coming from Jacksonville, carrying 17 people ranging in age from 15 to 62.

No one riding on the bus was hurt, according to FHP.
