Fort Lauderdale man dies after striking tree on I-10 in Madison County

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A young man died after his car left I-10 and struck a tree Saturday afternoon in Madison County, according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to FHP, the crash happened on I-10 Westbound near Mile Marker 240, not far from the U.S. 221 exit. It happened around 3 p.m.

The lone person in the vehicle, a 21-year-old man from Fort Lauderdale, was pronounced dead at the scene.
