Quincy man arrested for possession of child sex abuse material
QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) - A Quincy man for possession of child sexual abuse material following a months-long investigation, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.
FDLE agents along with the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cortez Burns, 21, on two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began in November of last year when agents received information of a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the release.
An additional cyber tip indicating the same subject was received on June 9 of this year.
A residential search warrant was served at Burns’ home and showed that he uploaded and downloaded several videos and images of child sexual abuse material featuring children as young as two-years-old.
Burns was booked into the Gadsden County Jail. Additional charges are dependent upon completion of forensics exams.
