FHP reports pedestrian crash on North Monroe Street

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Florida Highway Patrol says there was a pedestrian crash on North Monroe Street around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to troopers, a vehicle was traveling north on Monroe Street, near Lake Forest Drive. FHP says “for unknown reasons,” a pedestrian stepped into the street, and the front left part of the vehicle hit the pedestrian.

After going into the air, the pedestrian hit the vehicle’s windshield and struck the ground, FHP’s report says. The 42-year-old Panama City man ended up in the grassy median. He suffered minor injuries in this crash, troopers say.

The driver, a 54-year-old Tallahassee man, was not hurt in this incident.
