UPDATE: Suspect still at large after standoff on College Ave.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Tallahassee Police Department said College Avenue reopened late Friday morning after a barricaded suspect escaped the College Plaza Apartments.
According to TPD, the Tactical Apprehension and Control team entered the barricaded apartment at about 8:30 a.m. Friday, finding it empty. Officers first responded to a call about an aggravated assault in the 400 block of College Ave. at 4:45 a.m.
Police said the victim of the aggravated assault is safe, and no injuries were reported. Officers found a gun in an ally behind the College Plaza Apartments, TPD said.
The suspect remained at large and the tactical team is searching for him, according to the department.
TPD says it knows the identity of the suspect, but police would not disclose that information. TPD also did not indicate where they are searching for the suspect.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Officers with the Tallahassee Police Department were working to arrest a suspect who is barricaded inside the College Plaza Apartments in the 400 block of College Avenue Friday morning.
Because of the nature of the situation, TPD said their Tactical Apprehension and Control Team was also on the scene in an attempt to get the suspect out of the building.
Homes in the area of the situation were evacuated.
As of 7 a.m., College Avenue was shut down from Macomb Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Florida State University also issued a Public Safety Notice because of the incident.
