Hillary Famularo of Montford Middle School awarded WCTV and Envision Credit Union “Teacher of the Month”

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Hillary Famularo of Montford Middle School was selected as WCTV’s and Envision Credit Union’s Teacher of the Month for March 2022!

Famularo has been teaching for twenty-two years and she’s been working at Montford Middle School for four years.

The sixth-grade math teacher says she loves her career because she’s inspired by her student’s ability to overcome challenges.

Famularo said she’s still amazed that almost all of her students passed a high-level Algebra 1 Course last year while students navigated hybrid learning and the many challenges of the pandemic.

“I was shocked when she got scores back last year because my kids really struggled between learning online and in person. It was a big accomplishment and they really pushed hard, so I was really proud of them”, Famularo said.

Her student said Famularo ensures they aren’t too overwhelmed with their schoolwork while still challenging them to improve daily.
