State attorney releases transcript from 2016 Adelson-Magbanua conversation at Miami restaurant

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The State Attorney’s Office has provided the WCTV newsroom with a transcript of a 2016 conversation between Charlie Adelson and Katherine Magbanua at a Miami restaurant.
This comes after Dan Markel’s former brother-in-law was arrested Thursday morning at his home in the Miami area.
Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman says the enhanced audio from the FBI’s recording will be a key piece of evidence in the upcoming retrial for Magbanua. In fact, that trial was delayed so an audio forensics expert could analyze and enhance the recording.
Prosecutors recently told the judge his work is now complete.
