Jennifer Morejon joined the news team in April 2020, and is a multimedia journalist for the Valdosta Bureau at WALB. Jennifer was born and raised in Miami, Fla. She graduated from Florida International University in August 2016. Jennifer graduated with a bachelor's degree in broadcasting journalism and minored in marketing. She also earned a master’s degree at FIU in 2017. A few months before graduating from grad school, Jennifer got a job opportunity to work as an assignment editor at WSVN, Channel 7 News in Miami. There, she learned the ins and outs of a news station. She gained experience in finding stories, investigating, setting up interviews for reporters and sending photographers to newsworthy assignments. She has covered a wide range of stories from hurricanes to crime. After about two years, she decided her next stop would be West Palm Beach. Jennifer became the nightside assignment editor at WPBF. But her goal was always to become a reporter. Her passion for reporting began when she was just a little girl. She recalls watching the news every night with her family and saying, “that’s what I want to be when I grow up." Nothing has changed. Jennifer loves spending her free time with friends, exercising and exploring new places. If you have any story ideas, Jennifer would love to hear from you!
