Keshawn joined the news team in November 2020 and as a multimedia journalist for WALB's Today in Georgia. In June 2021, Keshawn started as a news and sports multimedia journalist.
Keshawn was born in Oakland, California and raised in Pittsburg, which is about 32 miles from each other.
Keshawn graduated from Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina. "LC WHO YA WIT." He graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports management and graduated with an associate degree in journalism at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg.
Keshawn interned with the San Francisco News, wrote for Skulking Sports, and reported for National Prep Stars in 2020. On each platform, he gained invaluable experience in writing, reporting, production and editing.
He is also a former collegiate athlete and worked for the Oakland Raiders for their last season in Oakland, and the Pac-12 Conference after graduating from Livingstone College in 2019.
His passion for reporting began after high school. Always mindful that he couldn't play football forever, so he planned to transition his life in media once his career concluded.
Keshawn loves spending his free time at the movies, eating out, exercising and spending time with friends and family.
He has especially enjoyed all that Albany has to offer and looks forward to beginning his career at WALB!
