Venise Toussaint started her career in the Sunshine State and she’s happy to be back!
You can catch Venise anchoring WCTV Daybreak at 5am, The Good Morning Show at 6am and WCTV Eyewitness News at noon.
Before coming to WCTV, Venise was a reporter, host & fill-in anchor for News 12 Long Island. During her time at her hometown station, Venise hosted “Diverse Long Island” a half-hour interview style show focusing on issues affecting communities of color & marginalized groups. Some of her most impactful segments were those that shed light on and gave voice to issues that often go unreported.
Venise landed her first reporting job at WNBW & WGFL in Gainesville, FL, just a few months after graduating from college. In less than one year at the station, Venise was nominated for an Emmy award for News Excellence. She has also reported for KSNV in Las Vegas and YNN in Middletown, NY.
Venise is a graduate of the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University where she double majored in Broadcast Journalism & Psychology.
She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Incorporated; an organization dedicated to public service.
In her spare time, Venise loves spending time with her family & friends and she loves to travel.
