Fletcher Keel joined the WCTV in the summer of 2017 as a web producer.
Prior to his time in news, Fletcher spent two seasons working in Minor League Baseball as a media relations assistant and play-by-play broadcaster with the Bowling Green Hot Rods (2015) and Altoona Curve (2016).
Fletcher is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and is no stranger to the Big Bend/South Georgia area; growing up, he made frequent trips to visit his grandparents in Albany, Georgia.
He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2015 with a degree in broadcasting. During Fletcher’s first two years on The Hill, the Hilltoppers were coached by a name familiar to many FSU fans – Willie Taggart.
Along with his web producer responsibilities, Fletcher serves as the fourth member of the WCTV Sports team, providing game coverage for Florida State football and basketball as well as other events (such as FSU baseball’s trip to the College World Series and FSU’s softball national title) and can be seen each week during the high school football season on Football Friday Night. He also ensures any sports story you see in a newscasts winds up on the web.
When not in the hot seat, Fletcher enjoys listening to music and watching sports of all types, especially sports that are off the beaten path.
